Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has a message for Tehran: your days are numbered. Speaking at a government toast ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, on Sunday, Netanyahu predicted the imminent downfall of Iran's regime, suggesting it would reshape the Middle East.
Netanyahu didn't mince words. "The end of the Iranian regime is near," he said, according to The Jerusalem Post. He made it clear that Israel's ongoing operations against Iran are designed to hasten that collapse, and he's "determined" to see it through.
The Prime Minister painted a picture of Israeli strength at its peak, while adversaries are at their weakest. He credited the combined efforts of Israel and the United States for eliminating existential threats. "We have removed atomic bombs and ballistic missiles from above us and have hit the Iranian axis with great force," he stated.
While Netanyahu acknowledged that Iran or other enemies don't pose an immediate threat, he warned that if they attack Israel, they could "suffer a blow they don't even imagine."
This isn't just rhetoric. In an earlier interview with i24 News, Netanyahu claimed Israel had completed "80-90% of the work" related to the threat from Iran's nuclear program. He stressed the need to finish the remaining work and his intention to confront Iran, which he called "the head of the octopus." He also said Israeli pilots are ready to strike Iran at any time.
