Senator Elizabeth Warren has a message for Democrats feeling outgunned by Republican cash: don't panic, organize.
The Massachusetts Democrat took to X on Sunday to share a clip of her speech, delivering a pep talk that acknowledged the financial reality but pivoted to what she sees as the Democrats' secret weapon.
"Republicans will outspend us. They'll get ugly. Trump will throw dirt. But we have something they don't: organized people. That's how we win," she wrote.
In the video, Warren didn't sugarcoat the challenge. "We know we will be outspent by the Republicans' money machine, outspent by the crypto packs and big oil and big pharma and big banks," she said.
But here's the twist: Warren argues Democrats don't need to match the GOP dollar-for-dollar. Instead, they need just enough to keep the engine running.
"We just need enough money to keep our team on the field," she said, describing that money as funding for "organizers, for the phone bankers, for the door knockers."
Her prescription? Double down on the basics: door knocking, phone calls, and neighbor-to-neighbor conversations. It's not flashy, but Warren insists it works.
She also warned that the political battle is about to get nastier. "Republican attacks, oh, they will get ugly," Warren said. "And Trump will do his best to just keep throwing dirt in our eyes. But nevertheless, we will persist."
That last line, a nod to her famous 2017 Senate floor moment, is clearly meant to rally the base.
