U.S. stocks look set to open in the green on Wednesday, with futures of the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 indices rising, following Tuesday's lower close.
Before the opening bell, all eyes will be on the latest Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge, for fresh clues on the central bank's next move.
Geopolitical risks remain in focus as Iran's Revolutionary Guard warned Americans of a "massive economic earthquake" if President Donald Trump continues the ongoing war and economic blockade.
At the same time, Trump firmly denied offering Tehran any sanctions relief, while defending his tolerance for North Korea's nuclear weapons by describing Kim Jong Un as "a friend of mine."
Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 5.21%, and the 2-year Treasury bond yielded 4.87%, at the last check. The CME Group's FedWatch tool projections show markets pricing in a 44.8% likelihood of the Federal Reserve hiking interest rates after its October meeting.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE: SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ: QQQ), which track the S&P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, were higher in premarket on Wednesday. The SPY was up 0.19% at $765.64, while the QQQ advanced 0.056% to $738.34.
Concentrix
- Concentrix Corp. (NASDAQ: CNXC) dropped 9.97% after it reported mixed third-quarter financial results and issued weak guidance for the current quarter.

Asian markets were higher on Wednesday, except South Korea's Kospi index. China's CSI 300, Australia's ASX 200, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, Japan's Nikkei 225, and India's Nifty 50 indices rose. European markets were also higher in early trading.
