The 2026 midterm elections will decide which party controls the House and Senate, and plenty of incumbents are fighting to stay in Washington. Nancy Pelosi is not one of them. The longtime California congresswoman and former Speaker of the House is heading for the exits, and when she goes, a very specific and very popular spectator sport goes with her: watching her stock trades.

An Era Ends
About a year ago, Pelosi announced she would not seek re-election in the 2026 midterms, a decision that will see her leave Congress in January 2027.
"With a grateful heart, I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative," Pelosi said in a video addressing San Franciscans.
Pelosi has served in Congress since 1987 and became the first female Speaker of the House, a role she held from 2007 to 2011 and again from 2019 to 2023. She is currently in her 20th congressional term and is 86 years old.
The Trades That Made Headlines
Beyond her legislative career, Pelosi became famous for her stock trading disclosures, which detail trades made by her husband Paul Pelosi, a venture capitalist. These are not small positions. The disclosures often involve millions of dollars in stocks and options in some of the most valuable companies around.
The filings have shown millions of dollars in shares bought in technology names, along with an options strategy of buying in-the-money calls that expire a year or two from the purchase date.
The Pelosis have had success with their trades, but some have raised questions about potential conflicts of interest. One example: buying Nvidia stock ahead of a vote on the CHIPS Act, which was set to benefit semiconductor companies like Nvidia. Pelosi later reported selling the stock for a loss, a move that caused the couple to miss out on millions of dollars in potential profits years later.
Pelosi also disclosed buying Tesla Inc. (TSLA) options ahead of pro-electric vehicle orders supported by President Joe Biden.
Other disclosures showed sales of stock and options ahead of investigations, such as the sale of Visa (V) shares ahead of a recent Department of Justice probe.
Pelosi has said she does not share any private information with her husband and that he makes his trades based on his own information and investment style.
The Final Trades
Many investors track Pelosi's trades closely. The Pelosi Tracker on Autopilot, for instance, has over $500 million in assets under management. According to data from Quiver Quantitative, Pelosi has disclosed over 200 trades since 2014, totaling more than $225 million.
When Pelosi leaves Congress, she will no longer be required to disclose the stock and options trading activity of her husband. That could mean investors have seen the last trades ever disclosed by the former Speaker.
Trades made in 2026 include:
- Bloom Energy (BE): stocks and options bought
- Intel Corporation (INTC): stocks and options bought
- Uber Technologies (UBER): options bought
- AllianceBernstein Holdings (AB): stock bought
- Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN): calls exercised for stock
- Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL): calls exercised for stock
- NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA): calls exercised for stock
- Tempus AI (TEM): calls exercised for stock
- Vistra Corp. (VST): calls exercised for stock
Pelosi has around two months left in Congress. Without more stock disclosures, these will go down as her last trades.
