This week's political headlines had a little bit of everything: nuclear negotiations, midterm math, a missile sale, and Elon Musk doing his thing in Texas. Let's walk through it.

Trump Says Iran Talks Continue Amid Nuclear-Site Warning
President Donald Trump said discussions with Iran were "going fine," while questioning whether the Islamic Republic could be trusted. Speaking in Palm Beach, he said the U.S. still needed to address "one or two sites," which could be handled "in 10 minutes." That's the kind of timeline that sounds reassuring and ominous at the same time.
Scaramucci Predicts Split Midterm Outcome
SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci said Democrats are positioned to take the House, gaining about 15 seats, while Republicans could narrowly keep the Senate. He called the Senate contest "closer," giving Republicans a "real chance" to hold it. So not a wave, not a wipeout. More of a split decision.
Iran Warns Of Immediate Response
Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei ordered preparations for an immediate response, not limited by geography, if the U.S. resumes strikes after the Nov. 3 midterms, according to The Hill, citing IRNA. That's a warning that doesn't leave much room for interpretation.
US Approves Patriot Missile Sale To Ukraine
The State Department approved a $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 missiles to Ukraine. Canada, Germany and Norway will help finance it through JUMPSTART, with additional funds from national budgets backed by the EU's Ukraine Support Loan. A big package, and a multilateral one at that.
Musk Casts Texas Ballot, Raises One-Party Warning
Tesla Inc. (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said he voted early in Texas and urged voters to back Republican Senate candidates. He warned that Democratic control of Washington after 2028 could create a "permanent" one-party state. Musk has been increasingly vocal about politics, and this week he made his preferences clear in a state that's become a key battleground.
