Capital One Financial Corp. (COF) dropped its third-quarter fiscal 2026 results after Tuesday's closing bell, and the numbers were not subtle. The bank easily beat consensus estimates on both the top and bottom lines.

Capital One reported quarterly earnings of $6.69 per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $5.50 by 21.64%, according to market data.

Quarterly revenue came in at $16.34 billion, which beat the Street estimate of $16.26 billion.

The company also reported the following quarterly details:

• Provision for credit losses decreased $73 million to $2.9 billion.
• Net charge-offs of $3.1 billion.
• $225 million loan reserve release.
• Net interest margin of 8.41%, an increase of 40 basis points.
• Efficiency ratio of 54.19%.
• Adjusted efficiency ratio of 48.76%.
• Adjusted operating efficiency ratio of 38.99%.

CEO Richard Fairbank was upbeat about the company's biggest moving part. "The Discover integration continues to go well and we're making good progress on delivering the expected synergies," he said. "We continue to invest to deliver sustained growth and value creation over the long term."
