Nebius Group N.V. (NASDAQ: NBIS) shares are moving higher in Wednesday's premarket as investors lean into an improving AI-demand backdrop that could support cloud-compute spending.

The stock was up about 1.75% at $241.50 in premarket trading. Nasdaq futures are down 0.29% while S&P 500 futures have shed 0.12%.

The Catalyst

The latest move comes as AI industry catalysts — including OpenAI's fast pace of revenue growth and Meta Platforms' Muse expansion — are seen as supportive for cloud-services demand, with Nebius viewed as having strong exposure to Microsoft and Meta compute spending.

Nebius has also been in focus since Tuesday, when the stock gained nearly 5% as investors returned to high-momentum AI and cloud infrastructure names while watching the company's pricing power and recent analyst upgrades.

That same Tuesday coverage also said Nebius was reportedly raising GPU cloud prices by roughly 20% starting Oct. 1, covering several Nvidia GPU models including the H100, H200, B200 and B300.

On the broader tape, the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) was down 0.12% in premarket trading, suggesting Nebius' strength was more stock-specific than sector-driven.

Nebius Performance

Nebius' past year has been defined by a sharp run-up and a volatile pullback: the stock set its 52-week low at $73.52 on Feb. 5, 2026, then climbed to a 52-week high of $299.86 on June 22, 2026. After that June peak, the stock's lowest price was $145.80 on July 29, 2026.

Coming into Wednesday, the stock was up 13.47% over about one month through Tuesday's close, even as it was down 9.11% over about three months. At $240.15, shares were still 19.9% below the June high, placing the stock in a rebound phase off the late-July low rather than back at its peak.

Technical Analysis

NBIS is still in a clear uptrend: at $241.28, it's trading 7.2% above the 20-day SMA ($224.68) and 45.5% above the 200-day SMA ($165.50), which is the kind of spacing you typically see in momentum-led names. The 20-day SMA is also above the 50-day SMA, and the 50-day SMA is above the 200-day SMA — two bullish crossover signals that keep the longer-term trend pointed higher.

From a structure standpoint, the stock is coming off a recent swing low in July and pushed to a swing high in August, so traders are watching whether this bounce can turn into another leg higher rather than a lower high. The 52-week high was set in June at $299.86, so there's still overhead room before the stock is back into that prior peak zone.
