Affirm Holdings, Inc. (AFRM) posted a strong second-quarter earnings report Thursday, but the stock still slipped in after-hours trading. Sometimes beating expectations just isn't enough.
The Numbers: Affirm delivered earnings of 37 cents per share, comfortably ahead of the 30-cent consensus. Revenue came in at $1.12 billion, topping the Street's $1.06 billion estimate.
The underlying metrics looked healthy too. Gross merchandise value jumped 36% to $13.8 billion. Active customers increased 23% to 25.8 million, while the active merchant count surged 42% to 478,000 during the quarter.
Looking Ahead: The company guided third-quarter revenue to a range of $970 million to $1 billion, which came in just below the $979.57 million estimate. On the brighter side, Affirm raised its full fiscal 2026 revenue guidance to $4.09 billion to $4.15 billion.
According to market data, Affirm stock shed 4.4% to $56.80 in Thursday's extended trading.
