A total of 15 global institutions committed around $115 million to support the company's drug discovery efforts. Investors are assigning InSilico an even higher premium, apparently reflecting its faster pipeline progress and perceived growth potential as the AI-accelerated drug industry starts delivering results.

The bet here is straightforward: if InSilico can continue signing partnership deals like the Servier arrangement and if its lead drug candidates prove effective in clinical trials, the company could eventually justify its valuation by transforming from a services business into a pharmaceutical company with product revenue. But that's a lot of "ifs" for a stock trading at nearly 70 times sales.
