What Aura Does
The robot uses behavior analysis and sound recognition to figure out how your pet is feeling, then sends real-time updates straight to your phone. Think of it as an emotional barometer for your dog or cat when you're not around.
According to Tuya, Aura can accurately read whether your pet is excited, anxious, lonely, or just chilling on the couch. It's leveraging AI-driven pet recognition and intelligent tracking to automatically record your pet's day and compile short videos, so you can capture those moments and feel more connected.
But Aura isn't just about cute videos. The robot integrates with Tuya's developer ecosystem and local lifestyle service network, offering smart pet boarding, healthcare, behavior training, grooming, personalization, and community engagement. Essentially, Tuya is building a comprehensive platform for pet-focused living.
The company positioned Aura as part of a broader push toward "physical AI," extending beyond pet care into future applications like elder care, home monitoring, and family connectivity.
Building on Recent AI Launches
This announcement follows Tuya Smart's December launch of Hey Tuya, a next-generation Super AI Life Assistant built on a multi-agent collaborative architecture. That platform was designed to embed AI seamlessly into everyday life, learning your habits and acting on them.
TUYA Price Action: Tuya shares were up 4.09% at $2.29 during premarket trading on Monday, according to market data.
