Infosys Limited (INFY) came out swinging on Wednesday with not one but two strategic AI partnerships, signaling its determination to lead the charge in enterprise artificial intelligence adoption. The Indian IT giant is teaming up with Amazon.com Inc.'s (AMZN) cloud computing division, Amazon Web Services (AWS), while simultaneously announcing a collaboration with Cognition, the company behind Devin, dubbed the first AI software engineer.

The AWS Connection
The AWS partnership centers on integrating Infosys's Topaz AI-first services with Amazon Q Developer, AWS's generative AI assistant. Think of it as combining Infosys's industry expertise with Amazon's cutting-edge AI tools to create solutions that actually work in the real world, not just in demos.
The collaboration isn't just external facing. Infosys plans to enhance its own internal operations with these tools while simultaneously delivering AI-driven solutions for clients across manufacturing, telecom, financial services, and consumer goods. It's the classic "eat your own cooking" approach that tends to produce better results than purely theoretical implementations.
Sandeep Dutta, President of Amazon Web Services (AWS) India and South Asia, emphasized the mutual benefits: "The combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organizations innovate, achieve operational agility, and unlock differentiated value for their clients. Through this collaboration, Infosys and AWS are committed to delivering solutions rooted in technical excellence and tailored to address the unique demands of global industries."
Enter Devin, The AI Software Engineer
In a separate announcement that could have easily headlined its own news cycle, Infosys revealed a strategic partnership with Cognition to scale Devin across global enterprises. Devin represents something genuinely novel in the AI landscape: an AI software engineer designed to handle actual engineering tasks, not just assist with code completion.
The plan is to integrate Devin into both Infosys's internal engineering ecosystem and client projects worldwide. The magic happens when you combine Infosys Topaz Fabric, which the company describes as a multi-layer AI platform unifying infrastructure, models, data, applications, and workflows, with Cognition's advanced agentic engineering capabilities. The goal? Accelerate time-to-market, boost developer productivity, and compress modernization timelines for enterprises.
Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Infosys, framed the collaboration as a milestone: "Our collaboration with Cognition marks a significant step forward in accelerating AI value realization for global enterprises. By integrating Cognition's advanced agentic and autonomous engineering expertise with our industry leading domain and delivery capabilities, we are creating a differentiated value proposition for the market."
He added: "This synergy is further enhanced by Infosys Topaz Fabric, which will serve as a catalyst for modernization and innovation for clients to achieve their strategic objectives."
INFY Price Action: Infosys shares climbed 0.77% to $18.23 during premarket trading on Wednesday.
