Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun has found an unexpected use case for artificial intelligence: talking himself to sleep. The crypto billionaire shared his experience with Google's Gemini 3 AI model on Sunday, revealing how it's helped him break his late-night scrolling habit.

"I used to stay up late all the time. Probably scrolling," Sun explained in a video posted on X. "Just lying there feels awful. It's hard to sleep."

His solution? The Gemini AI sleep coach, a feature within Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google (GOOG) Gemini Deep Research tool. Sun described the experience as feeling like having another person in bed, with the AI assistant engaging in surprisingly human-like conversations.

"It feels very natural. So I just chat with Gemini 3 and fall asleep," he said.

Taking Shots at ChatGPT

Sun didn't hold back when comparing his experience to OpenAI's ChatGPT, which he bluntly called "kinda dumb." He specifically highlighted Gemini 3's superior handling of both Chinese and English, saying it makes conversations feel more natural and less awkward than competing AI models.

The glowing review apparently went beyond just bedtime habits. Sun revealed that his positive experience with Gemini 3 led him to seriously consider buying Google (GOOGL) stock. "It felt a bit high. So I said, 'Let's wait,'" the cryptocurrency mogul admitted, ultimately deciding to hold off on the purchase.

Google's Gemini Deep Research tool, powered by the advanced Gemini 3 Pro model, launched earlier this month. The timing was notable: Google unveiled its new capabilities on the same day OpenAI introduced GPT-5.2, which it claimed was its best offering yet for everyday professional use.

The competitive dynamics haven't gone unnoticed. Market commentator Jim Cramer suggested earlier in the month that OpenAI could fall behind due to recent advancements in AI technology, particularly Google's Gemini 3 model. The concern highlights just how quickly the landscape can shift when tech giants go head-to-head on innovation.

Google's tool is designed to transform how AI handles research and development, with applications ranging from traditional analysis to, apparently, serving as a bedtime companion for insomniacs with too much time on their phones.

Stock Performance

Alphabet Class C (GOOG) shares rose 0.09% in after-hours trading after closing 0.88% higher at $311.33 during Monday's regular trading session. Year-to-date, the stock has rallied an impressive 63.48%.
