The company posted adjusted earnings of 32 cents per share, obliterating the analyst consensus of 13 cents and landing at the high end of management's guidance range of 28-33 cents.

The pet supply retailer reported sales of $3.117 billion, marking an 8.3% increase year over year. That topped both the consensus estimate of $3.099 billion and management's own guidance of $3.07 billion to $3.1 billion.

Big Movers: Wild Swings Across the Board

Wednesday brought some truly remarkable individual stock moves, with several names posting triple-digit percentage swings.

On the upside, A SPAC III Acquisition Corp. (ASPC) absolutely exploded, rocketing 336% to $45.69. Beasley Broadcast Group, Inc. (BBGI) surged 135% to $9.52, while Enveric Biosciences, Inc.
