Trump has been aggressively pushing back against affordability concerns, calling them a "con job." In a Saturday Truth Social post, he proclaimed that "DRUG PRICES ARE FALLING AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, 500%, 600%, 700%, and more."
Here's the thing: multiple fact-checking organizations have pointed out that's not how percentages work. A 100% decrease would mean prices hit zero. Anything beyond that enters mathematical impossibility territory. But Trump has continued repeating these figures anyway.
"If this story is properly told, we should win the Midterm Elections in RECORD NUMBERS. I AM THE AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT. TALK LOUDLY AND PROUDLY!" he wrote.
