Total revenue was up 31% year-over-year due to improved performance across the business. The company noted that the increased revenue was substantially driven by its BigBear Generative AI Platform. Gross margin came in at 31.2%, up from 22.4% in the comparable quarter last year.
"We won more than 25 new contracts with customers including the FBI, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Energy, and classified awards," said Kevin McAleenan, CEO of BigBear.AI.
"Just as important, we achieved the wins while growing margins and keeping our strong cash position. Our strategy remains centered on applied AI built by operators, for operators who face the toughest missions."
