What the Muse Partnership Actually Does
The companies aim to improve Muse model training and inference performance while reducing operating costs. The collaboration comes amid growing demand for AI agents capable of performing complex tasks.
Meta said its Muse models and AI agents, which run on NVIDIA infrastructure, have delivered strong benchmark results and attracted significant consumer downloads.
The companies are also exploring additional collaboration involving NVIDIA's OpenShell Reference Architecture. This includes OpenShell for secure AI agent deployment and NVIDIA Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.
Meta Is Buying a Lot More NVIDIA Hardware
As part of the partnership, Meta plans to expand its deployment of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform and Vera CPUs. The infrastructure will support next-generation AI workloads while improving performance and energy efficiency.
Meta also intends to deploy NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4 technology to improve network efficiency and data throughput.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said AI agents could reshape computing by enabling software to reason, use tools and complete tasks on behalf of users. He added that the partnership would focus on building efficient and secure AI infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said Muse remains central to the company's efforts to develop personalized AI agents and advanced models for billions of users.
Three Billion Dollars and a Deeper Embrace
NVIDIA's planned $3 billion equity investment further strengthens its long-standing relationship with Meta.
The expanded partnership highlights Meta's continued spending on AI infrastructure and NVIDIA's role in supplying the computing and networking technology needed to support advanced AI models.
The $95 Billion Question Hanging Over All of This
The expanded partnership comes as Meta pursues plans to raise up to $95 billion to support its AI infrastructure expansion. The proposed financing includes $35 billion in underwritten equity offerings and a potential $60 billion at-the-market stock program.
BNP Paribas analyst Nick Jones expects Meta to maintain a rapid pace of AI product launches, supported by early adoption of Muse. Jones maintained an Outperform rating on Meta with a $940 price target.
Price Action: NVIDIA shares were up 0.01% at $216.03 and Meta Platforms shares were down 0.32% at $628.54 during premarket trading on Tuesday, according to market data.
