Honeywell Targets $60 Million-Plus Benefit At Dangote Refinery
Forge Plant Cognition combines operating data, engineering expertise and physics-based models to identify bottlenecks, anticipate problems and recommend actions.
Honeywell estimates AI-enabled optimization at the Dangote refinery could deliver more than 29 cents per barrel in operational benefits, excluding implementation costs.
The platform uses Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA technologies to support plant optimization, digital twins, anomaly detection and simulation-based planning.
Dangote will combine refinery data with Honeywell's AI and process expertise to improve troubleshooting, decision-making and plant performance.
The platform will also support Dangote's goal of developing a 70% Nigerian workforce by expanding access to specialized process knowledge.
"By collaborating with Dangote to launch Forge Plant Cognition, we are demonstrating how AI can help transform industrial operations, driving new levels of productivity, reliability and profitability at significant scale," said Rajesh Gattupalli, President, Honeywell Technologies UOP.
