The EBRD Deal: What Cognizant Is Actually Doing
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) selected Cognizant as a strategic partner for its Tech Blueprint technology transformation program.
Under the five-year framework, Cognizant will provide outcome-led managed services and fixed-capacity services spanning digital and workplace management, cloud infrastructure, data and security, software engineering, automation and AI.
The company also plans to deploy its proprietary AI tools, including Neuro IT Operations, Flowsource and WorkNEXT.
Neuro IT Operations is designed to improve visibility across EBRD's technology systems and accelerate issue resolution.
Flowsource applies generative and agentic AI across software development, while WorkNEXT provides AI-powered workplace support, including voice and translation capabilities.
The collaboration is expected to improve service reliability, operational efficiency, and access to specialist technology skills.
The Technicals Are Doing the Heavy Lifting
Cognizant is showing bullish momentum, trading well above its key moving averages.
The RSI of 67.59 remains below overbought territory, suggesting strong momentum without an extreme reading. The MACD is above its signal line, reinforcing the positive technical trend.
Key support stands near $58, while resistance sits around $75. A move above resistance could signal further upside, while a pullback toward support could point to consolidation.
The technical picture also strengthened after a golden cross on Oct. 14, 2026, when the 50-day SMA crossed above the 200-day SMA.
CTSH has gained 3.66% over the past 12 months and currently trades at 68.1% of its 52-week range, placing it closer to its yearly high than its low.
Earnings Thursday: The Numbers Wall Street Wants
Cognizant is scheduled to report earnings on Oct. 29, 2026.
Wall Street expects EPS of $1.47, up from $1.39 a year earlier, on revenue of $5.64 billion, compared with $5.42 billion last year.
The stock trades at a 15.1-times price-to-earnings ratio.
CTSH carries a Buy consensus rating with an average price forecast of $62.77.
Recent analyst actions include TD Cowen maintaining a Hold rating while raising its forecast to $60 on Oct. 13. Wedbush maintained an Outperform rating and a $70 forecast on Oct. 9 and Oct. 2.
Where CTSH Ranks on Momentum, Value and Growth
Cognizant Technology Solutions stands out most on momentum in the MarketDash Edge scorecard, with a bullish score of 94.01. Its other readings are more moderate, with Value at 65.05, Growth at 49.58, and Quality at 37.7.
The scores point to a momentum-led setup, while value, growth, and quality remain comparatively neutral. Investors may therefore focus on whether upcoming earnings and continued deal execution can support the stock's recent strength.
CTSH Price Action: Cognizant shares were up 0.79% at $71.10 during Monday's premarket trading, according to market data.
