Greene Warns Trump Is Hurting Georgia Republicans
Greene shared a clip from Trump's rally in Perry, Georgia, and took issue with his comments about helping lawmakers he likes and refusing to help those he dislikes.
"He has no idea how bad he is doing in GA," Greene wrote. "And to threaten our state that he would refuse to help the good people of Georgia just because he doesn't like who calls him shows how much he really doesn't care."
She added, "Trump has become a curse to Republican candidates and it will be worse in '28."
Trump Links Georgia Aid to Lawmaker Relationships
In the clip, Trump said lawmakers he likes can call him for assistance, including help for Georgia farmers. He contrasted those relationships with calls from people he dislikes, suggesting he would be less willing to respond.
"These congressmen are so good, and they call me, and it's, you know, it's — I love to help them," Trump said. "When other people call me, I'm terrible. I'm just terrible."
Trump also made a mocking reference to Pee-wee Herman to illustrate how he might react to a call from someone he didn't want to speak with.
Trump's $500 Million Midterm Election Push
Earlier this month, Trump proposed $5,000 payments to U.S. citizens if Republicans won control of both chambers of Congress, but eligibility remained unclear.
Last month, Trump attacked Democrats on Labor Day, accusing the "Radical Left" of trying to "destroy our Country" and predicting Republicans would win the 2026 midterm elections "BIG."
Trump also pledged $400 million to $500 million to support Republican House and Senate candidates in the 2026 midterm elections. MAGA Inc. reported $403.45 million in cash as of July 31, while Trump indicated some funds could be reserved for future political activity.
