Who will be the next AI (SI) Czar?
Trump on Tuesday told Axios that Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton is a "good man" and that it would be a "good idea" to appoint him. Trump had earlier ruled out Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for the role.
"Scott Bessent will not be going to be Super Intelligence (SI) Czar," Trump said in a Truth Social Post.
Prediction Market Bets on AI Czar
Amid this, the prediction market is betting on who will be the new "AI Czar" or the new "SI Czar."
Data from Kalshi, a federally authorized betting platform, shows that over $20,000 has been bet on the contract "Who will Trump name as AI czar?"
Jay Clayton is leading the list, with bettors placing a probability of 23%, down by 32% despite Trump praise for him.
Michael Kratsios, the President's Science and Technology Advisor is second, with an 8% probability.
Taylor Budowich, former White House Deputy Chief of Staff is third with a probability of 6%.
