Orbit Lands International GAIA Orders
Kratos said its Orbit Communication Systems unit received orders from multiple international customers for its GAIA 100 Tri-Band 5.5-meter and 6.1-meter antenna systems. These systems are designed to support Earth Observation, New Space, and satellite communications applications.
Orbit also unveiled the GAIA 100 Tri-Band 6.1, which offers higher gain, improved link margins, and enhanced Ka-band tracking for Earth Observation, defense, and satellite communications missions. The 6.1-meter system uses Orbit's Auto Track technology and integrated RF tracking to maintain precise satellite alignment and maximize link performance.
Orbit Acquisition Expands Kratos' SATCOM Capabilities
Kratos acquired Orbit in March 2026, adding satellite communications, tracking, and communications-management technologies across airborne, maritime, land, and space applications. The acquisition is already paying off, as the new orders show.
"The market is placing increasing emphasis on ground station performance, particularly as satellite operators move toward higher-frequency communications and larger data volumes," said Daniel Eshchar, General Manager of Orbit Communications Systems.
