MARA Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) is having a good Friday. The stock is extending Thursday's gains, which came on the back of a broader crypto market rally. Nasdaq futures are up 0.57%, and S&P 500 futures are up 0.31%, so the whole market is feeling a bit chipper, but MARA is leading the charge.

Bitcoin Rally and Macro Support Fuel Momentum
Thursday's move was tied to Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) climbing back above $77,000. That followed a White House crypto summit hosted by President Donald Trump on Wednesday, which seems to have given the sector a fresh dose of optimism. MARA holds roughly 35,577 BTC, so its stock is basically a leveraged bet on Bitcoin's price. When Bitcoin sneezes, MARA catches a cold, and when Bitcoin rallies, MARA flies.
MARA Stock: Key Levels and Trends to Watch
From a technical standpoint, MARA is in an interesting spot. It's trading 11.5% above its 20-day simple moving average (SMA) of $10.54 and 5.5% above its 200-day SMA of $11.13. That suggests the near-term bounce is still intact, and the longer-term trend line is acting like a floor.
But here's the catch: it's also trading 2.9% below the 50-day SMA of $12.09 and 2% below the 100-day SMA of $11.99. So the next big test is whether the stock can push through that overhead supply zone. If it does, we could see a breakout; if not, it might stall.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 52.54, which is about as neutral as it gets. The stock isn't overbought or oversold, so it could swing either way depending on follow-through. It's like a coiled spring, waiting for a catalyst.
The moving average crossover picture is a bit mixed. The 20-day SMA is below the 50-day SMA, which is a bearish short-term signal. But the 50-day SMA is above the 200-day SMA, forming a golden cross that happened back in June. So the short-term trend is weak, but the longer-term trend is still bullish.
Here are the key levels to watch:
- Key Resistance: $13.50 — a nearby round-number/pivot area where rebounds can stall.
- Key Support: $10 — a round-number level that could act as a line in the sand if the bounce fades.
Bulls want to see the stock build acceptance back above the 50-day and 100-day moving averages. Bears are watching to see if the recent rebound loses steam and slips back toward that $10 support level.
MARA Stock Price Activity: MARA Holdings shares were up 5.56% at $11.77 during premarket trading on Friday, according to market data.
