Axon Enterprise (NASDAQ:AXON) reported its second-quarter financial results after the market close on Wednesday. The numbers were solid, but investors seemed unimpressed, sending shares lower in after-hours trading.

Q2 Highlights
Revenue came in at $904.39 million, beating analyst expectations of $876.46 million. Adjusted earnings were $1.88 per share, also topping the $1.85 estimate. Total revenue jumped 35% year-over-year, with the company noting that demand "remained robust" from both new and existing customers.
Breaking it down, Software and Services revenue rose 36% to $398 million, while Connected Devices revenue grew 35% to $507 million. Annual Recurring Revenue also climbed 39% to $1.6 billion, fueled by strong uptake of premium software offerings.
As of June 30, Axon held $685 million in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments.
Looking ahead, the company raised its full-year 2026 guidance from a range of $3.61 billion to $3.67 billion to a new range of $3.67 billion to $3.73 billion, versus the $3.66 billion analysts were expecting.
Why the Stock Dropped
Despite the beat-and-raise, Axon shares were down 6.32% in after-hours trading, sitting at $570.95 at the time of publication. Sometimes good news just isn't enough, and investors may have been hoping for even more.
