President Donald Trump has officially weighed in on who should replace Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) in Congress, endorsing Georgia prosecutor Clay Fuller after Greene's departure following a very public break with the president.

Trump's Full-Throated Endorsement
Trump announced his support Wednesday on Truth Social, describing Fuller as the "District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, and Air National Guard Officer." The president didn't hold back on the superlatives, saying Fuller possesses the "Wisdom and Courage required to Defend our Country" and deliver "PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH."
"As your next Congressman, Clay will fight tirelessly to Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE," Trump wrote in his characteristic style.
The endorsement continued with promises that Fuller would "keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Safeguard our Elections, Champion School Choice, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment." Trump sealed it with his "Complete and Total" endorsement.
Fuller responded on X, calling the endorsement "the honor of a lifetime" and promising to represent Georgia's 14th District while pushing forward Trump's "America First" agenda.
A Crowded Field and Familiar Face
Fuller isn't walking into this unopposed. He's one of 21 candidates competing to replace Greene, who exited Congress early after her once-tight relationship with Trump imploded publicly, according to The Hill.
This isn't Fuller's first rodeo in the district either. He ran in the 2020 Republican primary that Greene ultimately won, finishing fourth in that race.
His platform, according to his campaign website, includes support for mass deportations and leveraging his legal expertise to "fight back against the radical left." He's already picking up momentum, securing an endorsement from former candidate Christian Hurd, who dropped out last week.
What Happens Next
The special election is set for March 10, with all 21 candidates appearing on a single nonpartisan ballot. If nobody clears the 50% threshold, the top two vote-getters will face off in an April 7 runoff. With Trump's endorsement now in play, Fuller has gained significant ground in what was already shaping up to be a chaotic race.
