President Donald Trump is making his preferences known early for Louisiana's Senate race, and he's not being subtle about it. In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump gave Rep. Julia Letlow his "Complete and Total Endorsement" and encouraged her to jump into the contest with an enthusiastic "RUN, JULIA, RUN!!!"

Trump's Full-Throated Support
Trump didn't hold back in his praise for the Louisiana congresswoman, describing her as a "Highly Respected America First Congresswoman" who has been "a Great Star" since day one. He said he's heard she's considering a Senate bid and wants to see it happen.
According to Trump, he knows Letlow well and has watched her perform under pressure at "the highest and most difficult levels." He called her a "TOTAL WINNER" and highlighted both her role as a mother and her legislative track record, noting she has "ALWAYS delivered for Louisiana."
Trump also laid out what he sees as Letlow's policy priorities if elected. The list hits familiar conservative notes: growing the economy, cutting taxes and regulations, supporting farmers and fishermen, and expanding oil and gas production. He added that she would "Keep our Border SECURE," "Stop Migrant Crime," and "Ensure LAW AND ORDER," while protecting Second Amendment rights and strengthening support for the military and veterans.
"Julia is a wonderful person," Trump wrote, expressing confidence she would continue delivering results for Louisiana in the Senate.
Letlow Responds
Letlow thanked Trump for the endorsement and struck a measured tone in her response. She said she's committed to making the country safer and stronger for future generations, while reminding everyone that the Senate seat ultimately belongs to Louisiana voters. She called for steady conservative leadership without explicitly confirming whether she'll run.
The Algorithm Election
While Trump focuses on individual candidates, billionaire Mark Cuban has been sounding alarms about something bigger shaping the 2026 elections. Earlier this month, Cuban warned that social media algorithms are driving voter behavior more than actual policies or candidate personalities.
Cuban described the upcoming cycle as the first AI-driven election, where whoever controls the online narrative has more power than traditional campaigning could ever provide. He argued that political influence is increasingly concentrated among those who can manipulate or influence platform algorithms.
Meanwhile, American voters showed surprisingly little reaction to the recent capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Polls indicate President Trump's approval and disapproval ratings remained essentially flat despite the dramatic foreign policy development. The muted response suggests mixed feelings about Trump's foreign policy approach and ongoing concerns about U.S. military involvement abroad.
