Why Non-Human Identities Matter
Founded in 2023, Clutch Security focuses on protecting non-human identities. That means service accounts, API keys, authentication tokens and credentials used by autonomous AI agents. Its platform helps businesses identify security risks, manage access permissions, protect credentials and detect suspicious activity.
The potential deal would expand Palo Alto Networks' identity security business following its $25 billion acquisition of CyberArk in February 2026. It could also strengthen the company's ability to protect enterprise systems as businesses increasingly adopt autonomous AI agents. Clutch Security has raised more than $20 million from investors, including Lightspeed Venture Partners and SignalFire.
Earnings And Analyst Outlook
Palo Alto Networks is scheduled to report earnings Nov. 18. Analysts expect earnings of 97 cents per share, up from 93 cents a year earlier. Revenue is expected to reach $3.31 billion, compared with $2.47 billion last year.
The stock carries a consensus Buy rating and an average analyst price forecast of $414.17. Citigroup raised its price forecast to $440, while Wells Fargo increased its forecast to $525 in October.
Valuation And Momentum
PANW has a strong Momentum score of 96.55, according to MarketDash Edge Rankings. However, its Value score of 1.29 and Growth score of 27.08 highlight valuation concerns and weaker relative growth rankings. The stock also carries a price-to-earnings ratio of 870.1, reflecting a premium valuation.
ETF Exposure
PANW accounts for 9.02% of the iShares Expanded Tech-Software Sector ETF (IGV), 7.56% of the First Trust Nasdaq Cybersecurity ETF (CIBR) and 5.42% of the Amplify Cybersecurity ETF (HACK).
PANW Price Action: Palo Alto Networks shares were down 1.26% at $343.66 during premarket trading on Thursday, according to market data.
