Marvell Technology Inc. (MRVL) stock surged nearly 7% Monday as semiconductor stocks rebounded from last week's selloff, supported by renewed buying in technology shares.
The Nasdaq gained 1.66%, while the S&P 500 rose 0.65%. Technology led all 11 sectors, climbing 1.90%.
Chip stocks rallied as investors returned to the sector following last week's weakness. CoreWeave Inc. (CRWV) also gained after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock.

However, shares remain 7.1% below their 20-day moving average of $262.45, suggesting the short-term recovery is still developing.
The relative strength index stands at 45.81, indicating neutral momentum.

On Oct. 7, UBS raised its price forecast to $350, Jefferies increased its forecast to $450, and JPMorgan lifted its forecast to $360.

Marvell's MarketDash Edge Rankings show strong growth and momentum but a weaker valuation profile.
The stock has a Momentum score of 98.77 and a Growth score of 99.53. However, its Value score stands at just 1.85.
These readings suggest investors favor Marvell's growth prospects despite its premium valuation. Still, high expectations could leave the stock vulnerable to sharper pullbacks.
