Stellantis N.V. (NYSE: STLA) said Tuesday that its estimated global vehicle shipments fell 1% year over year to 1.286 million units in the third quarter of 2026.
Growth in Europe, driven by electric vehicles and new models, was offset by lower shipments in North America and the Middle East and Africa.
North American Shipments Fall 12%
North American shipments declined 12% to 357,000 vehicles, largely due to planned summer production shutdowns.
Jeep Grand Cherokee and Compass shipments each fell by approximately 25,000 units from a year earlier.
However, Ram shipments rose by about 17,000 units. Demand benefited from refreshed models and expanded engine options, including the Ram 1500 HEMI V8 and the new Ram 1500 TRX.
European Growth Driven by Electric Vehicles
Shipments in Enlarged Europe increased 10% to 588,000 vehicles, supported by battery-electric vehicles and new product launches.
Stellantis' Smart Car platform contributed approximately 26,000 additional shipments, led by the Citroën C3, C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera and Fiat Grande Panda.
The Fiat 500 Hybrid and new Jeep Compass added roughly 6,000 and 5,000 units, respectively.
Meanwhile, Leapmotor-branded shipments rose by approximately 34,000 units to 44,000, supported by the launch of the B10 and B03X models.
Light commercial vehicle shipments also increased by about 7,000 units, led by electric variants.
Middle East Weakness Offsets Regional Gains
Middle East and Africa shipments declined 21% to 75,000 vehicles, primarily due to weaker demand in Türkiye and reduced imports ahead of planned local van production.
In South America, shipments remained largely flat at 251,000 vehicles. Growth in Brazil was offset by weaker volumes in Argentina.
Asia Pacific shipments fell 6% to 15,000 vehicles, reflecting softer demand in Japan. Higher volumes in India partially offset the decline.
The company said its third-quarter shipment figures are preliminary and unaudited.
Consolidated shipments represent vehicles delivered to dealers, distributors and customers and generally drive revenue recognition.
STLA Price Action: Stellantis shares closed down 0.23% at $4.38 on Monday, according to market data.
