President Donald Trump will reportedly make an announcement in the Oval Office on Monday, after a week of meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and a reported Sunday dinner with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei.

According to The Hill's White House Correspondent, Julia Manchester, citing White House guidelines, Trump will make the announcement at 2 p.m. ET.

The White House did not immediately respond to MarketDash's request for comment.

Dinner With Anthropic's CEO

Trump was expected to host Amodei for a private dinner at the White House on Sunday night, Fox News reported, citing two sources familiar with the matter, as Amodei pushes to slow AI development over safety concerns.

Xi Meetings Last Week

Trump and Xi agreed Friday to more favorable tariff treatment for $30 billion of goods in each direction and to establish a new bilateral dialogue on advanced AI, Reuters reported, citing the White House.
