Fastly's fundamentals have also improved. Second-quarter revenue rose 23% year over year, while security revenue climbed 43%.
AI Security Launch Adds Momentum
Fastly also introduced AI Runtime Control, AI Firewall, and new API Security capabilities designed to give organizations greater visibility and control across AI systems.
The company said machine-generated traffic accounted for more than 50% of its network traffic in July and August, while AI traffic grew 6.5 times as fast as human traffic from January through May.
