Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ: NVDA) exposure is no longer limited to Wall Street's opening bell. For investors who want the chipmaker's stock on crypto rails, CoinMarketCap's Alice Liu says there is an important distinction between owning a tokenized Nvidia product and buying an AI token.
Want Nvidia on Crypto Rails? Tokenized Stock Is the Honest Way, Says CoinMarketCap Research Head

Nvidia, But 24/7
"For a global retail investor who wants Nvidia at midnight with fractional size and leverage, it already is," Liu, Head of Research at CoinMarketCap, told MarketDash in an exclusive email interview. "The tokenized stock is the honest way to do it; the AI token is a different bet wearing the same jersey."
The difference matters. A tokenized Nvidia product is designed to track Nvidia itself. CoinMarketCap's NVDAX was roughly flat over the month covered by the interview, broadly matching the underlying stock.
An AI Token is a Separate Crypto Asset
While Nvidia-related events can drive attention toward AI tokens, their returns can diverge sharply from NVDA. TAO gained 24% over 30 days, while Render fell 63% over the year, as of Sept. 10.
Tokenized equities are also gaining traction. CoinMarketCap tracked 1,851 instruments with about $2.3 billion in market capitalization and roughly $2 billion in daily volume.
For investors, the message is straightforward: tokenized Nvidia is an access layer for NVDA; an AI token is a different investment.
