CleanSpark Inc. (NASDAQ:CLSK) stock jumped more than 7% Friday as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) rebounded toward $79,000, lifting cryptocurrency mining stocks.
Bitcoin surged back to $79,000 Friday, swinging nearly 4% in two hours as traders digested hotter-than-expected August inflation data and its implications for a September interest-rate decision.
Meanwhile, CleanSpark's August 2026 operational update, released Sept. 8, provided a company-specific backdrop for investors.

"We look forward to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to serve the needs of Texans while also delivering for our shareholders and customers," Schultz said.

CleanSpark Technical Analysis
CleanSpark is trading 11.4% above its 20-day simple moving average and 6.2% above its 50-day SMA. That signals stronger near-term momentum.
However, CLSK remains 1.9% below its 100-day SMA. That level is the next key test for bulls. A move above it could strengthen the intermediate trend.
Momentum indicators are also improving. The MACD is above its signal line, while the histogram is positive. Both signals suggest buying momentum is building.
Still, the moving-average setup remains mixed. The 20-day SMA is below the 50-day SMA, which is a bearish signal. However, the 50-day SMA remains above the 200-day SMA following a golden cross in June.
The stock previously formed a death cross in February. That sharp shift highlights CLSK's recent volatility and makes a sustained move above the 100-day SMA more important.
- Key Resistance: $15.50. A breakout above this level could support further upside.
- Key Support: $12.00. The level sits near several major moving averages and could provide support during a pullback.
