Copart Inc. (CPRT) delivered a mixed fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 report after Thursday's closing bell, and then gave investors something bigger to chew on: a deal to acquire online vehicle auction operator ACV Auctions (ACVA).

On the numbers, Copart earned 35 cents per share for the quarter, which missed the consensus estimate of 38 cents, according to market data.

Revenue came in at $1.15 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.14 billion.

Then came the headline that really moved the stock. Copart said it will commence a tender offer to acquire all outstanding shares of ACV Auctions common stock for $10.50 per share in cash.

"This acquisition reflects a significant milestone in our growth strategy by creating an industry-leading end-to-end vehicle remarketing platform that is fully digital," said Jay Adair, CEO of Copart.

CPRT Stock Price: According to market data, Copart stock was up 8.26% to $33.30 in Thursday's extended trading.
