Nelson Peltz's latest portfolio update suggests the veteran activist investor is doubling down on a company he has followed for more than a decade—only this time, it's in two parts. Trian Fund Management dramatically increased its stake in GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. GE HealthCare Technologies Inc. (GEHC) during the second quarter while holding its position in GE Aerospace GE Aerospace (GE) steady, leaving the fund with meaningful investments in two of General Electric's successor companies.

Nelson Peltz Expands His GE Bet With GE HealthCare
According to Trian's latest Form 13F, the fund increased its GE HealthCare holding from just 4,044 shares at the end of the first quarter to more than 3.08 million shares as of June 30, boosting the position's reported value to nearly $197.5 million.
At the same time, Trian left its 4.03 million-share stake in GE Aerospace unchanged. The position, valued at approximately $1.51 billion, remained the firm's largest disclosed holding by a wide margin.
The combination stands out because Peltz didn't rotate away from GE Aerospace to build the new position. Instead, he expanded his exposure across another major business that emerged from General Electric's multi-year breakup, keeping both companies among Trian's largest industrial investments.
The Move Extends a Long-Running GE Investment Story
Peltz's relationship with General Electric predates the company's breakup. Trian disclosed a $2.5 billion investment in GE in 2015 and publicly backed the company's transformation as it exited much of GE Capital and streamlined its industrial portfolio. Over the years, the activist fund maintained an active dialogue with management as GE reshaped itself into separate businesses.
The latest filing suggests Trian continues to see value in that transformation, although through a different structure. Rather than concentrating its exposure in a single conglomerate, the fund now holds sizeable positions in both GE Aerospace and GE HealthCare, reflecting conviction in two businesses that now operate independently.
As with all Form 13F filings, the disclosure reflects Trian's U.S. equity holdings as of June 30, 2026, and doesn't reveal whether the fund has since added to, reduced or exited any of these positions.
What Investors Should Watch Next
The key question isn't whether Peltz still believes in GE's transformation—it is where he chooses to allocate additional capital from here.
With GE Aerospace remaining Trian's largest holding and GE HealthCare now joining the portfolio in a meaningful way, future filings could offer clues about which of GE's successor companies the activist investor believes has the greater upside over the long term.
