Radio host Alex Jones called for President Donald Trump's impeachment over the U.S. conflict with Iran, arguing the administration has exceeded its constitutional authority and is moving toward a broader war.

Jones Demands Impeachment

On Tuesday, Jones urged Congress to remove Trump from office, saying the president's handling of the Iran conflict warrants impeachment or removal under the 25th Amendment.

Jones said during a live broadcast on X, "The big issue is how to stop Trump. And we have to have Congress go for the war powers."

He added, "They're supposed to authorize a war. This is a war; they're getting the draft ready. If this isn't a war, nothing's a war. I mean, this is absolutely out of control."

Jones further said, "I'm calling for it right now: 25th Amendment, impeachment, whatever needs to happen to get this front and center, to get control of our country."

He also described Trump's support for the fiscal 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) as "impeachable."

Jones argued the administration was preparing for a wider conflict, warning, "We've got to come together and transcend left and right… They're preparing a massive ground invasion. It's all confirmed."

Trump Defense Spending Plan

Last week, in a press release, Rep. John B. Larson (D-Conn.) opposed the fiscal 2027 NDAA, criticizing its funding for the Iran conflict, Pentagon policies and measures he said could restrict voting access.

He had also announced legal action and impeachment efforts against Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over alleged violations of the War Powers Act.

Earlier this year, Trump's proposed fiscal 2027 budget called for a major increase in defense spending to $1.5 trillion while cutting several domestic programs. The plan boosted military, immigration enforcement and crime funding but reduced spending on healthcare, agriculture and environmental initiatives.

Democratic lawmakers renewed calls for Cabinet officials to consider the 25th Amendment, criticizing Trump's actions and urging constitutional review.

US-Iran Conflict Escalates

On Wednesday, U.S. forces launched strikes on Iran after attempted missile attacks on American troops in the Middle East. The escalation had raised regional security concerns following a drone strike on a gas vessel in Egypt and increased threats to shipping and energy infrastructure.
