Iran launched fresh attacks on U.S. Gulf allies Saturday, hours after Washington completed a seventh consecutive night of strikes on Iranian military sites, deepening a war that reignited a week after a ceasefire collapsed.
Kuwait's desalination plant was hit and its international airport suspended operations amid repeated missile and drone threats. Kuwait's Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ministry said in a statement carried by state-run news agency KUNA that the strike "necessitated taking precautionary operational measures to ensure the safety of the plant and the stability of the electrical grid."
Iranian state media reported that Bahrain's Sheikh Isa Air Base, where U.S. combat aircraft were stationed, was also targeted, along with an intelligence data center.
