President Donald Trump has a scheduling conflict that might make him miss his son's wedding — and it's not a golf game or a rally. It's Iran.

On Thursday, reporters in the Oval Office asked Trump whether he'd attend Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding to Bettina Anderson, planned for Memorial Day weekend in the Bahamas. Trump said he'd "try and make it" but acknowledged the timing is tough.

"He'd like me to go. It's going to be a small private affair. I'm gonna try and make it," Trump said. "I said, 'This is not good timing for me. I have a thing called Iran and other things.'"

He also took a jab at the media, predicting he'd get criticized either way: "If I do attend, I get killed. If I don't attend, I get killed … by the fake news, of course."

The wedding was originally considered for the White House, but the couple opted for a private ceremony in the Bahamas, according to NewsWeek.

Security Threats Loom

Trump's hesitation isn't just about Iran. In late April, a shooting occurred at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, where Trump was rushed off stage by Secret Service. The suspect, Cole Tomas Allen, a Caltech-educated engineer, was later caught.

Meanwhile, tensions with Iran are escalating. Tehran recently warned that if the U.S. attacks again, "the war will be extended outside the Middle East region, and our crushing blows will hit you in places you cannot imagine," according to a post on X from the IRGC.

So between a potential international conflict and a recent security scare, skipping a beach wedding might be the least of Trump's worries.
