Rep. Thomas Massie may not be the favorite to win Kentucky's primary on prediction markets, but former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene thinks he's a bargain. On Monday, Greene said a bet on Massie offers "solid value" — even as the numbers suggest otherwise.
On Polymarket, Massie's odds in Tuesday's primary sit at 42%, while Ed Gallrein — the candidate endorsed by President Donald Trump — leads at 52%. Over on Kalshi, it's a similar story: Massie at 44%, Gallrein at 58%. But Greene isn't buying the market's verdict.
She claimed that "foreign billionaires" are trying to sway the Kentucky congressional race by "dumping tens of millions" into the contest. "Despite all that spending, the energy on the ground is clearly with Massie," Greene said. "At current odds, a Massie buy looks like not only pretty solid value, but a Massie vote is even more so 100% AMERICA FIRST."
Massie and Greene have been close allies for years. After Greene resigned from Congress in January following a fallout with Trump, Massie described her as someone who "embodies what a true Representative should be." Both had earlier called for the public release of the Epstein files.
Trump, meanwhile, has gone to war against Massie, calling him disloyal and the "worst Republican Congressman" in history. He has accused Massie of opposing key GOP priorities, including tax cuts and border security, and criticized his voting record on law enforcement and cultural policy. Trump endorsed Gallrein, describing him as a "Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Fifth Generation Kentucky Farmer" and a "true America First Patriot."
Greene's endorsement adds a twist to an already heated primary. Whether the prediction markets are wrong or Greene is just being optimistic, Tuesday's vote will tell the tale.
