Ondas Inc. Ondas (ONDS) is making a big bet on the future of warfare — and it's not about drones or missiles. The company announced a definitive agreement to acquire Omnisys Ltd., an Israeli developer of battlefield optimization software, as it doubles down on software-defined defense and AI-powered military operations. Deal terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition brings Omnisys' Battle Resource Optimization (BRO) platform into Ondas' portfolio. Think of BRO as the brain behind the battlefield: it handles mission planning, operational coordination, and resource optimization across air, land, sea, and cyber domains. Ondas says the platform has been operational for more than 25 years and is combat-proven in air defense operations.
BRO uses AI algorithms to support real-time decision-making, linking sensors, command-and-control systems, and autonomous platforms. Ondas plans to integrate BRO with its SkyWeaver platform to support intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), strike missions, electronic warfare, counter-UAS, and air defense.
“Omnisys and its BRO platform will represent a major advancement of Ondas’ customer-focused systems-of-systems roadmap for autonomous defense and security solutions,” said CEO Eric Brock.
Ondas ended the recent quarter with $1.48 billion in cash, restricted cash, and short-term investments — plenty of firepower for this deal and future moves.
