If you’ve been watching Congress stock trades for clues on where the market might head, you’re not alone. Retail investors pay close attention to these disclosures, especially when they involve defense stocks during a period of elevated geopolitical risk.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) recently filed a disclosure showing he bought and sold dozens of stocks, as tracked by the MarketDash Government Trades page. While there were many trades, a few purchases stand out: Moskowitz bought shares of two major defense contractors just as the U.S. escalated military action against Iran and as Middle East tensions remain high. The White House has also called for increased defense spending.
Here’s what Moskowitz bought in defense stocks:
- March 23, 2026: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in General Dynamics (GD) stock (two separate purchases)
- March 23, 2026: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in GE Aerospace (GE) stock (two separate purchases)
- March 31, 2026: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in General Dynamics stock
- March 31, 2026: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 in GE Aerospace stock
In total, the congressman bought between $3,000 and $45,000 worth of General Dynamics shares and between $3,000 and $45,000 worth of GE Aerospace shares. (Disclosure ranges are standard for congressional filings.)
